Great points here! Strong Boards lead to strong organizations. A strong Board & Chair support the ED / CEO. Most NPO issues come down to governance in one way another.
Sadly, most orgs do not provide any sort of onboarding or training to their Board, let alone professional development to the ED. Both is needed.
Seriously agree! Also another place where having interim leadership before your new executive comes on can be amazing. An interim can setup and manage an onboarding process, without urgency.
