Thanks Laura; I’ve been dealing with this on a number of fronts and also working on compiling recommendations from a number of legal sources as well if your board INSISTS on using it. I think folks jump to AI because they’re attempting to write transcripts (and thus think board minutes are a lot of work)… when in fact they can be quite the opposite with a little discernment and training

This is a very good piece on some of the unspoken dangers of AI. I was speaking to a customer service agent recently and I was giving a lot of information, so I checked with the agent if they took all my key information down, they said they were using AI so everything we discussed was automatically transcribed.
I understand it makes their job significantly easier but as you mention, I wonder where all that info is being stored and who can access it?
Exactly this; you’re not guaranteed confidentiality. Rarely does anyone check privacy policies or look closely at where data is being stored and who has access. Consumer-grade tools are the wild west
